Surviving Tax Season

We at the CPA firms have the most fun during tax season!

We get the latest update of any tax laws directly to our emails first thing in the morning (not something that I look forward to), we get to splurge on paper usage and fancy tabbies to make the tax return looks nice for the clients. In return we get many treats from different clients coming in every other hour. Today a client brought a cute potted plant (it has tiny purple leaves - they said it's a lucky plant - great), the plant stays in my boss' office but we get to enjoy it. Even if they bring nothing but their tax stuffs in shoe box, we always get some stories and good laughs.

And last but not least, our friend at local Edward Jones have been so nice sending us "Tax Surviving Kit" every year. It looks like this:

Inside it: some baked goods (brownies, shortbread, etc), tea bags, cereal bars, mint gums, peppermint patties, trail mix, stationaries (post-it, highlighter, pen and pencil), some tax info and not to forget: hershey kisses chocolates. How yummy!

If you think we have a boring job, wait till you spend a day in our office - during tax season, that is.

Other than that the days kind of peaceful that we can spend it knitting fancy scarves, and I have the nicest girls in town to keep me company.
